Professor Wechsler Retires After 34 Years

Congratulations to Professor Steven S. Wechsler, who taught his last class, Professional Responsibility, on December 5, marking the beginning of his retirement. Members of the College of Law community gathered during the final ten minutes of Professor Wechsler's class, as is the tradition for retiring faculty, to applaud his tenure at the College. We thank Professor Wechsler for his many years of service to our students and to our community.

College of Law Community Saddened by Death of Dustin J. Friedland L'09

Dustin J. Friedland, a 2009 graduate of the College of Law, was killed over the weekend in what appears to be a random act of violence near his home in Hoboken, New Jersey. We are shocked and extremely saddened by this news.

All of Dustin's family and friends — especially his wife Jamie Schare Friedland, a 2011 graduate of the College of Law — remain in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Open Doors Project at SU College of Law

In recognition of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Tuesday, December 3rd, the Disability Law Society encouraged faculty and students at the College of Law to leave all interior doors open for the entire day.

Syracuse Law Partners with Harris Connect to Produce Alumni Directory

Syracuse Law has contracted with Harris Connect to update contact information for Syracuse Law alumni around the world so they can keep up-to-date on news and activities from campus. Harris will produce a hardcover directory, Alumni Today, that will allow Syracuse Law alumni to find their former classmates, and to use for personal and professional networking.
