The Syracuse University College of Law welcomed its 117th first-year law class on August 19, with 196 students arriving for a weeklong orientation program. From the start, College of Law students understand the orientation program they recently participated in is unlike any other.

Welcome Class of 2014 LL.M. Students!

The College of Law welcomed 10 students into its class of 2014 Master of Laws program for foreign trained students. This is the 2nd year of this program, a 24-credit hour graduate program designed to offer students with a foreign (non-U.S.) law degree or its equivalent, advanced study in American law. Students enrolled hail from 9 different countries, including Argentina, China, India, Kenya, Pakistan, Taiwan, Trinidad, Turkey and the West Bank.

Recap - Supreme Court Admissions Program

Seventeen alumni participated in the U.S. Supreme Court Admission program on June 17, 2013. John Burgett L'92 served as the movant for the group. The program was sponsored by the Syracuse University Law Alumni Association (SULAA). All nine Supreme Court Justices were on the bench that day and handed down five decisions.

The next Supreme Court Admissions program will be on June 13, 2016. Additional details to come.

A New Look for a New Era

The SU Marching band will unveil new uniforms at the Homecoming football game between SU and Clemson on Oct. 5. The new uniforms are the result of a successful $150,000 campaign “A New Look for a New Era.” The uniforms are made in the US from recycled materials and feature the University’s block “S”.
